PGE originally asked for a 7% increase in rates for 2025. Recently PGE has upped the ask to 10.9%. There is still time to submit public comments as the PUC will not be making a decision until December 2024.

CLIMATE PROTECTIOn PROGRAM

Submit comments in regards to the Climate Protection Program. The original program was instituted by EXECUTIVE ORDER by Governor Kate Brown. It is designed to reduce 90% of carbon emissions from oil and natural gas companies by 2050. This program would also include a “carbon credit” program as well as regulate industries such as papermills, and concrete manufacturers.

DEQ Climate Protection Program Rule Making

Washington instituted a similar program titled the Climate Commitment Act and it has raised their gas tax significantly.

PROPOSED RULES FOR TOLLING THE I-5 BRIDGE

The only tolled facility moving forward is the Interstate Bridge Replacement program, which would be tolled by the Washington State Department of Transportation, with toll rates and policies jointly set by the Washington State Transportation Commission (WSTC) and the Oregon Transportation Commission (OTC).

The comment period for the proposed rules for this tolling project are open until October 3rd @ 11:59pm. OREGON LIMITED TOLL RULES
